OXYGENATING PLANTS ARE SUBMERGED PLANTS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL TO YOUR POND!

In sunlight, these plants absorb carbon dioxide, add oxygen into the water, and serve as shelters and protection for your fish. These plants also help filter your pond and add depth to the visual of your water! We carry both Hornwort and Anacharis, and both are available either bareroot or potted.

LOTUS ARE TRUE BEAUTIES OF THE WATER, POSSESSING WATER-RESISTANT PADS THAT STAND ABOVE THE SURFACE RATHER THAN LAY DOWN ON THE WATER.

Lotus are occasionally mistaken for Water Lilies, but upon closer inspection it becomes clear that these plants are far more special. Lotus leaves are covered in a hydrophobic compound, causing water to bounce off of their rather large pads and trickle from pad to pad with gravity. Though this is a unique visual, it’s nothing compared to the glory of a freshly-opened Lotus bloom. These blooms range from white to hot pink, and are almost ethereal in presence. A mature plant will grow blossoms that are up to 8 inches across!
